Be aware that Events occur when you're in the middle of travel, while Opportunities are the temporary orange blips that pop up in the map between missions. Currently will only list the effects of actions that Im aware of/remember. GRIFTLANDS PATCH UPDATEIll also try to update in regards to any changes listed in the patch notes, since Im sure there's plenty of unintended effects for many of these events/opportunities. Ill try to update this main post as new info is collected, especially since my own initial contribution will be very limited. Please be aware that, especially in the early days of Rook's release, this thread will be filled with spoilers aplenty. I figure as a community we should get to work consolidating all the info for the random events and opportunities available so far in the new campaign. Old Opening: So the new character, Rook, is very enjoyable so far, even with his buggy release and limited days. Any events that are tied to quests will not be listed. Do note for anyone looking into this thread that only Random Events and Opportunities are listed here. As always, be sure to comment if there's any options in this list that need correcting. GRIFTLANDS PATCH CODEHopefully once Griftlands is fully released and a wiki is made of it, this thread will provide some help to those wiki editors as well, though just looking at the code would probably be more useful. Of course, just because Rook's story is finished, that doesn't mean new events won't be added in the future, so I intend to update this whenever needed. This post was originally done so that people would have a reference to any events and opportunities that were more RNG or didnt have their outcomes immediately presented to them, but then I decided to simply list everything here. Don't buy until patched.I figured I'd update the opening paragraph of the main post considering Rook's campaign is fully completed storywise. Can't play with additional characters because progress gets wiped after every restart. Original Review: Totally broken on Switch. The issues have made me regret purchasing and I definitely won't be buying the next Klei title without first browsing the bug report forums first. Just a total lack of quality all around - exact opposite experience from the one I had playing another Klei title, Invisible Inc. Plenty of other issues like this - for example you can't deselect cards after selecting them for replacement. Instead the only available input is to forfeit the pack which makes the challenge virtually impossible. Still can't play the challenges because as soon as you get to the select card packs screen the game doesn't let you press the x button to actually select a card pack. Update: after the 1.0.1 patch the game is now only partially broken instead of fully broken. Final rating, skip it or pick it up on sale a year from now. This lack of polish permeates this game and while each update slightly improves the situation I doubt my interest will last that long. Maybe you'll get lucky and the cards you get will work for this run, maybe not. So picking a card pack basically amounts to flipping a coin. Update: after the 1.0.2 patch we can now select card packs in the challenge runs, however, due to the terrible controller support we still Update: after the 1.0.2 patch we can now select card packs in the challenge runs, however, due to the terrible controller support we still can't view what cards are in the card packs.
